Passion Global Institute is a seminary that blends the vision and mission of the Passion Movement with the world-class education of Dallas Theological Seminary for the purposes of equipping a generation to build the Church and make famous the name of Jesus. Birthed out of the desire to equip and educate all believers, Passion Global Institute exists to help students grow in the areas of theology, Scripture, and ministry.
Passion Global Institute is built upon the strengths of two world-class organizations. By combining the vision, culture, and DNA of Passion with the theological teaching, training, research, and accreditation of DTS, Passion Global Institute positions itself as a unique seminary experience that prepares graduates for the callings God has for their life. Renowned DTS faculty such as Dr. Mark Yarbrough, Dr. Barry Jones, and Dr. Jonathan Murphy (among others) shepherd Passion Global Institute students in discovering the accuracy, truth, and authority of the Word of God.

Passion Global Institute is currently scheduling two courses per semester, three semesters per year (total of six courses offered per year). The number of course offerings may expand in future years.
Lectures will be delivered live and via online, with the majority delivered live. Live lectures will typically happen over four full days at some point during the seven-week course period. Live lectures will take place at the Passion City Church in Atlanta, GA. A hypothetical live lecture schedule might include a consecutive Wednesday - Saturday block, or one separate Friday block followed by a subsequent Thursday - Saturday block.
Due to Passion Global Institute’s unique course structure, students are required to attend all live lecture dates. Students should avoid enrolling in courses when a pre-existing conflict is known. Please contact the PGI Team to discuss potential conflicts.
For general information about credit hour costs and attendance fees, please click here. (Please note: all tuitions, fees, and expenses listed are subject to change.)
Tuition and payment deadlines are typically one week prior to the start of classes during any given semester. Full refunds are provided for students who drop courses on or before the payment deadline. Students who cannot pay the full tuition amount by the payment deadline must enroll in one of the approved payment plan options.
Although Passion Global Institute students are not currently eligible for Federal Student Loans, there are payment plan options available for students.
The MACL degree program is designed to be completed in four years. The MBTS can be completed in as little as two years. Please contact the PGI Team for more information.
Passion Global Institute is designed to allow students to complete the required coursework while continuing to work full time in a career. However, each student must know their own strengths, abilities, and limitations when considering pursuit of a master's degree.
Within the master's level program, students can expect to write roughly 3 papers per semester (this equates to roughly 35-40 pages), but each course will differ based on content, number of credit hours earned for the course, and faculty expectations.
Together, Passion Global Institute with DTS will evaluate transcripts to give credit for classes where applicable. Courses taken or credit earned more than 10 years ago are typically not accepted and students cannot transfer in more than 50% of credit requirements for the MACL program. No more than 12 hours can be transferred into the MBTS program.
Students that miss a class have the option to take the course through DTS online [link here: http://www.dts.edu/online-seminary-education/] or wait until it comes back around 4 years later. However, as Passion Global Institute scales up we will be able to offer more classes.
Students should plan to commit an hour or two a day, sometimes more or less. Generally, most professors suggest that students spend about 2-3 hours studying per week for each credit hour they take (Ex: 3 credit hour course = 6-9 hours of study per week).
In addition to the culture and DNA distinctions of the Passion Movement, Passion Global Institute is unique in that its approach will focus mainly on church planting and global missions. The core DTS curriculum included in the MACL degree includes more hours in Bible and theology than in longer MDiv degrees at other seminaries.
If students miss a prerequisite during the cycle when it’s offered, they can take the course online through DTS, with two opportunities a year to jump back on track.
Advanced Standing is available to students who received a degree at certain types of undergraduate schools. Students who took classes at another seminary may be eligible for transfer credit. For students who have previous coursework from DTS, their courses would still count toward their new program as long as it is part of the degree plan and was taken within the past 10 years.
We are growth-minded, but do not have immediate plans to expand our degree program offerings.
